The Turmberg terrace offers a wonderful view over Karlsruhe and invites visitors to linger and relax. The mountain can be climbed on foot via the "Hexenstäffele" stairway. To climb the Turmberg, you have to climb the 528 steps of the stairway. To reach the Turmberg tower, you have to climb another 128 steps. The Turmberg is the local mountain of the former Baden residence city of Durlach. It is 256 meters high and the northwesternmost peak of the Black Forest at the transition between the low mountain range and the Kraichgau hill country.
